[Travel] Eat Laugh Sleep Penang Trip with Uni Buddy Day 2 ☁

22:50

When it comes to Penang, food is forever the agenda!
We kicked start the 2nd day in Penang with the Penang Road Famous Teochew Ice Kacang!
(of course we had breakfast before that but we just simply stuff some food into our stomach)
You think there's a lot of people by looking at this photo?
NO YOU'RE WRONG!
There were more in the shops!
They have 2 shops on the same street right beside their store..
The owner will send the ice-kacang/cendol/drinks you ordered to you if you're sitting in the shop.
BUT it's extremely packed, hot and humid inside so we decided to just eat it at the roadside.

You can see many of the familiar faces on the board, such as the "don't play play" Pua Chu Kang!
(From left to right: Green grass/cheh chow, Cincau, Selasih drink, Chrysanthemum Tea)
Puteri & putera lilin sekalian, hiding under the umbrellas LOL!
Please be extra careful if you want to have the cendol at the roadside.
There were motorcycles and cars passing by so make sure you don't stand in the middle of the road!
Wait, this is not the cendol but ice-kacang!
The cendol is already in my stomach! HAHAHA!
I couldn't tell what's so special with the cendol that makes it so famous but we did enjoy having it.

The journey continues with our visit to WAR MUSEUM!
I wondered who came up with this itinerary because it made me felt like a school student again XD
I saw a lot of street art on the way to the war museum and I can't wait for tomorrow's street art hunt!
Penang War Museum was built in the 1930's by the British to protect the island from the invasion of enemies. This 20 acres site is located on a hill and you will be able to see the Straits of Melaka as well as the surrounding areas from here. The construction of this fortress was done by The British Royal Engineers and local labourers.
Typical tourist! AHA!
We will have to pay to visit this place.
You can also play paintball here!
Can't believe how would one feel by taking NIGHT TOUR! ><
The lady at the counter brief us about the history of the museum before we explore it..
It's kind of scary when she told us that everything in the museum were remained as it was those days!
You don't know what else were remained?!! >.<
They will spray the anti-mosquito oil on us so we won't get bitten by the mosquito.
Make sure you don't wear skirt like I did because there's some activities you need to do in the museum!
(btw I was wearing a skort so still okay)
Again, tourist! LOL!
I don't remember what was that because we were to hyper and excited, didn't listen to the explanation!
Just know that it was a tunnel linked to underground.
Here's where the army send the weapon and food to underground.
Escape route for those time.
This is where we will need to crawl through to reach another area, so don't wear skirt! :P
I'm so glad to see the sunlight again after crawling through the escape route!

Don't worry it was just a fake bomb!
The army used to be very cruel to the people here.
Lot's of story told by the person who guided us, quite interesting!
Activity 2!
Sometimes the oldest people in the group tends to be the most childish one, its true! XD
There were many horrible picture or patung around the forest area.
They told us those ghost were made according to what they had experienced in the museum.
They were made and placed at the place where the staff "saw" them.
I guess our grandpa grandma would definitely recognized this!
It's the toilet bowl those time!
Overall, I think it's worth the money!
Wouldn't recommend parents to bring their kids here because they are too young to understand..
As for teenager and adults, it should be quite interesting and eye-opening experience!
If you're interested with something crazy and exciting, try the NIGHT TOUR or PAINTBALL session!

We finished our museum visit around 5pm..
That's when the image of sun, beach, and sand came into our mind!
Wait no more, we headed to Batu Feringgi and enjoyed our evening at the beach.
There were many beach activities at the beach, be it motorboat, banana boat, parachut, you named it!
We just wanted to chill at the beach with some drinks and snacks.
BUT, ENDED UP............................
Well lucky unlucky, it wasn't a beach day for me due to some ladies problem so I escaped the "FUN"!
Taking photos was all I did the entire evening!
*bloggers* LOL!
OMO I miss Pulau Redang now!
I particularly HATE this bunch of people!
Yes I know its their job but hey! They never consider other people by the beach!
They just ran over our stuff (shoes, bags etc) that we put together to get their effking boat!
Not to mention they almost hit us with their stupid driving skill!
damn.
Alright, end of the story.
Back to some sweet holiday photos!
Sad case, photographer is always out of the photo :(
But luckily I managed to get another photographer for myself, hehe!
I must say, the sunset was B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!
Most of them in the photos are either studying in Australia now or already started their working life..
Kinda miss the crowd and the uni life we spent together..
Miss ya all!
Hmmm..now I'm glad that I blog..
My memories will be kept here like....forever? :D

Stay tuned for Day 3 - Street Art Hunting in Penang!
