Esse Give Back 2013 Charity Art Sale!

Hello everyone! How's your day?
I have something really meaningful to share with you guys! It's the Esse Give Back 2013 Charity Art Sale which will be raising fund for the SHELTER!
Esse Organic Skincare, an eco-conscious skincare brand promoting a sustainable lifestyle, will be hosting a one day "Nature" themed charity art sale event. The artwork will be painted by children, for children. Proceeds from the artwork will be donated to SHELTER – Home for Children in Malaysia. We protect what we love. By encouraging our children to paint the beauty of nature, we are also teaching them to love our irreplaceable Mother Earth. We would like to invite you to come join us on the 19th July at Annexe Gallery, Central Market, to show your support for these amazing young artists and to SHELTER. Gallery can be view here and is available for bookings.

SHELTER is a registered welfare organization in Malaysia that has been in existence since 1981 to help abused, abandoned, neglected or at-risk children. They provide care and education to them and raise public awareness on issues such child abuse and child protection.

This time round, the event encourages children all over the world to participate by creating an artwork about nature. These amazing young artists, ages from 3 to 16 years old, painted their love for nature into these artworks. The artworks are submitted from as far away as USA and South Africa, to Hong Kong, China, Australia, Singapore and also from Malaysia.

I love how the children express their thoughts and feelings through paintings. Well, like what people usually say, children never lie. These paintings are the most direct reflection of their thoughts about the "NATURE". Let me show you my favorite painting! The kid actually aware of the consequences of excessive trees cutting, pollution and disasters.

The Only Home - Ellyna Chooi Jia Yern, 9
“Inspired from the disaster of the world, trees cutting, pollution and this artwork reflects all the animals’ tree of hope..”
Victoria Ruiyue Lin, 5, Hong Kong
“ The forest fairies live in the red house surrounded by green mountains."
Serenity - Charmaine Ng, 14, Malaysia
Nature Vs City - Truman Zhe Tew, 12
“When everything faded from the front - Animals and nature faded to the back, all factories and dying trees.”
Beautiful Scenery of Starry-Starry Night - Teh Yoke Peng, 11
“Inspired from the Van Gogh’s work Starry-Starry Night. Amazing night scenery of our mother nature.”
Butterfly City - Tan Ming Xi, 9

On the other hand, children are pretty innocent. Look at these cute penguins paintings! It's so adorable isn't? I think the children just love the nature and trying to illustrate the nature as something lovely and adorable.
